It's no secret that old Humble has become a popular location for photographers, but I have really wanted to do a session there for a while now because my family has pretty deep roots in this town. Impromptu history lesson? Sure! My grandparents owned and operated Harvey's Hardware {a general store that sold everything from basic necessities to furniture} that was located on Main Street. And my grandmother, who is now 95, was very active in the Humble community over the years. In fact, she worked for the Octavia Fields Library and the Humble Museum as a docent. Many of our family heirlooms are located in the museum. And honestly, that is only one side of my family not to mention my husband's family history in this town! :)) So, needless to say, I'm very proud to have been born and raised here, and it means so much to me that I'm able to take portraits in this very historic area of town.
Now back to the crazy banana boys. . .
